“Technology touches every part of our lives. By understanding how technology can be used in a company’s go-to-market strategy will really help them increase their brand awareness and drives sales. This is why I am so passionate about helping SME’s” – ME!

Over the last year I have won various coaching awards, including top 10 UK SME superhero and top 10 business advisor. I am very excited to say that I am adding a third, amazing award to my list in the form of Brand Republic’s top 50 UK marketing and advertising influencers, from Klout on social media. You can see the full list here, and you might recognise number 15!

Brand Republic reached out to Klout (social media analytics ranking software) to get the numbers on social media influencers in the UK’s advertising and marketing industry. Whilst Klout may not be 100% accurate, they use great analytical software.

Klout is a tool in both desktop and mobile format that uses your social media analytics to rank a user based on their social influence online which is called a “Klout Score”. Klout will measure a user’s popularity based on their size of social media database and how they interact with other users on a scale of 1 to 100 (100 being the highest). If you are scoring over 60, you are in the top 3% online, which I am very happy to be amongst at 66!

Klout has grown massively since it first launched in 2008. In 2014, Klout was acquired by Lithium for $200 million, being controversially labelled as “the Kardashians of social influence startups”.

Klout, during this analysis, looked at the activity on social accounts and focused on 15 different expertise including; advertising, branding, communications, content marketing, digital marketing, email marketing, social marketing and social media.

The list created includes everyone from small business owners, consultants all the way to CEO’s and Founders of major corporations, all of which are extremely knowledgeable and well deserving.

The list included Lilac Bullock, Bryony Thomas, Jim Connolly, Robert Tyson, Doug Kessler and at the number one spot; Dave Chaffey (editor and co-founder of Smart Insights). To see what Brand Republic had to say about me, at number 15 on this list, take a look at the image below.
